3) Web site building software (optional)
Although you can create your websites using tools provided by some web hosting companies, you will never be a complete creative web designer if you don't learn how to use some serious website building software. Since the majority of designers prefer "Dreamweaver" to create their websites, and since it is both superior and most popular website building software, our video tutorials on how to create your website using software will be involving "Dreamweaver" and you can watch them on Website Instructor's "TV Instructor" section, but, if you want, you can download some free website building tools on our "Free downloads page", they are similar to use, but very limited since they are free to download. You will find free website templates there too, also provided for you by Website Instructor. Feel free to download them and use them to create your website, but remember that your website should be unique if it is to be taken seriously by your visitors.
If you don't want to buy or use any software, or pay a web hosting solution that provides you with the tools necessary to create a website, then you will need to learn how to code HTML from scratch. All you do is open a text editor (Notepad for example) and then write the HTML code that will create your page. Then you save the file as filename.html and paste it to your website through your web hosts HTML editor. Coding HTML can be avoided, but can be very useful if you understand the basics.
